Scott Walker's real name is Noel Scott Engel.

John Alexander Stewart & Noel Scott Engel (aka Walker)....
also known as LA club act the Dalton Brothers, their excellent
PJ Proby penned single became the basis of a tacky exploitation
album at the height of UK Walkermania....Stewart was Scott's
oldest and closest friend, and was a writer, co-writer, and
co-producer of many of the Walker's finest...he was apparently
involved in a serious road accident in the midst of all this
and went back to LA for some lengthy convalescing, never to
return to the UK....Stewart & Engel's production activities
were quite extensive, but that's one for a Walkers expert....

The Margie Day single was produced by John Stewart and Scott.
The Alec Noel came from Stewart's middle name and scott's first!
Scott produced Carol and The Memories as well as a John Stewart
song called 'Light' by Finders Keepers around the same time.
